Oujda (Arabic: "wajda" وجدة) is a city of Morocco about 400 000 inhabitants in 2004, located in North-East, 14 km from the Moroccan-Algerian border.
History
Oujda was founded by Ibn Ziri Attia, chief zénète of the tribe of Maghraoua to 994 in the centre of the plain Angads. And for 80 years remained the seat of the dynasty's founder, then passed it to power Almoravids then the Almohads who erected a new fortification.
